On Saturday I headed into Seattle via bus for the Folklife Festival 🙂 So much fun! I wish we could have gone back Sunday and Monday, but we had other things we were doing instead. I did not get much from the festival itself in picture reference. I wish I had money to buy some the amazing skirts I found 🙂 However, I am sure I will find lots of amazing skirts in Liberia while I am there, so it’s not too much of a loss.
Here is a picture slide show of the pictures I did happen to take 🙂 I took a lot to make some postcards out of. I think it’s cooler to be able to take these pics to send to people as compared to buying a postcard of something I can take pictures of myself. 🙂 Anyway, here are some pictures of our day (I always forget to take pictures so there are not a ton.
See! Lots of pictures! Kinda… It was a fun day! It was nice and sunny lots of pot smoke wafting around, cigarette smoke, body odor, food smells, and sounds of many bands playing music, people talking, singing, hollering… so much stuff going on!
Today I have to go to Starbucks to give a barista instructions for making her very own duct tape wallet. I included two of my own wallets that I have made and even threw one together this morning for her to see the different levels on how to make it. I should really start back into my duct tape items, I need to perfect the bag that I have by remaking it with a different strap and some fabric stuff. I need crafty ideas for the summer. I finally sewed my curtains! That was a while ago though. They are up and being used. Now I feel I should move into making myself some skirts! I think that is a good idea actually.
This weekend/week I plan on going to Wal*Mart and buying my items needed. I still need about 400 for covering immunization costs and a little help with supplies. Well enjoy! I am off to buy a book that goes with my Maternity text-book so I can start studying that this summer, pay rent, and head down to Starbucks and see if the amazing Barista who is leaving is there so I can give her the packet of instructions. I also have to write a letter for a Postcrossing tag 🙂 I get to write a person 20 questions, and they have to write back with answers for my questions! I’m excited!!
