Where do I even start in telling you about my trip to Liberia this year?! I guess I can show you with pictures…. oh the kids and their happy faces just lit up my world this year. Here is an amazing picture of one little boy, whose name was REALLY hard to say so we called him our little Ham… He had such a personality! Julie coined the name Ham because she would say he is always hamming around… meaning he is a huge goofball. He has a sponsor already I do believe, so he is getting an education with Serve the Children and he is guaranteed a place each year in school. Do you want to support a kid? Check out Serve the Children’s website. After being to Liberia with them twice now, I see how this organization is really impacting the community and the people in the Sinkor area… as well as 15 Gate just outside the Firestone reservation, and the kids at Civil compound.

My favorite part each year is simply playing with the kids and having little ones like this guy hug me as tight as they can. How could I not fall in love with the kids at All God’s Children schools? When they playfully look at you like this, how can you NOT chase them around and tickle them?? You can’t!! You can’t resist! I will talk more about my trip later 🙂 I just wanted to upload this little guys picture and let you all know I survived another trip to Africa and can’t wait for the next one. Til then though, I am going to pass my Nursing test, get a resume completed, and find me a job! I am a nanny for an amazing family right now and am going to miss nannying these kids, but I need my nursing job. There is nothing like a good trip to Africa to get you back on track where you need to go… well, where I need to go and what I needed help motivated with. 🙂
