Running, weight, and Ziplocs.

Running, weight, and Ziplocs.

I have frankly dropped a lot of weight this last year. I don’t know whether it was from being in a healthier emotional place in life, not being able to afford a lot of food, being more active, or just the way I changed my eating for health purposes.ย

I also work out 4 to 5 times a week.

However, it is now time to start taking the running to the great outdoors again ๐Ÿ™‚ It is springy here in the Seattle area. My lungs will do better than they do in the winter and maybe this year I can train myself to also run in the rain and not die from lung pain. Guh. Not fun.ย

I need to find a good way to figure out the trails in the area to run them … I really wanna!! Hahahaha. Well, here goes nothing! Tomorrow, I wake up get on my stuff, put my phone, iPod, keys, and ID card in my ghetto pack (Ziploc sammich bag) and head on my way for a three mile outdoors run ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m excited to begin, but also afraid I will fail.ย

I think it will help me lose those last few pounds I need to lose though ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m between 162 and 167, I wanna get down to 155ish instead. I haven’t been there since I was starving myself in high school and my first years of community college.. ๐Ÿ™ However, this time I have been doing it healthily as possible. No purposeful starvation, that’s for stinkin sure.ย

I also look at myself in the mirror and more and more like what I see. I don’t know if it is because I have more confidence, I have started to accept myself, or the natural face washes I have been using actually do help my complexion. All I know is I look in the mirror and regret harming my body because it is so lovely wrapped around my personality… they really suit each other well.ย

  1. “All I know is I look in the mirror and regret harming my body because it is so lovely wrapped around my personality… they really suit each other well.” – I love this! So true.

I’m glad you are finding your way back to yourself (and to blogging). Let us know how the running went! I want to try running again, but it is still so freaking cold. But soon….

    ๐Ÿ™‚
